The Goal of Ogele - Voices for Peace

Ogele - Voices for Peace is based on the hope that by gathering voices for peace from around the world that small grass-roots peace efforts can be strengthened. Thus through Ogele.org, we hope to link people and their peace efforts by developing an international network of Ogele contributors and participants that can share information, experiences and advice.

Ogele's Voices already include peace workers, academics and activists from South and North America, Asia, Africa and Western and Eastern Europe. Your voice is important and you can share it through Ogele.org in a number of ways.

Ogele Forums for Your Voice

Do you have information about peace issues in your area? You can contribute an Ogele Update of 100-1000 words and give people an alternative and truly local news perspective. Tell us what we can't find in the greater media.

Do you have an opinion, solution, experience or theme for discussion? You can contribute an Ogele Feature of 1000-5000 words. Provide food for though and incentive for action. Comments/queries from other Ogele Voices will be posted with your feature and sent directly to you to incite discussion and develop ideas.

Do you know of events or campaigns for peace? Call people to action directly by sending the details of peaceful protests, letter-writing campaigns, petitions and so on to the Ogele team. Your contributions will be posted in our Calls to Action section.

Finally, you can join the Colleague to Colleague discussion group. There, peace practitioners can share experiences and ideas and seek advice from their peers.
